Babanawa Polytechnic (BP) is the brainchild of Colonel Ahmadu Usman Babanawa (rtd) conceived in June 2021. We are licensed and certified to operate fully by relevant authorities in Nigeria including but not limited to the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and have reached advanced registration stage with the National Board of Technical Education (NBTE).
BP is located at Km 20 Igah Ikeje, Olamaboro LGA in Kogi state, occupying a 20 hectare land with projections for expansion in the future.
As an institution of learning, we understand that students often face varieties of obstacles
regarding tertiary institutions: they lack requisite grades to secure admissions, do not receive
appropriate counseling on choice of course to study, may lack conducive learning environment,
may have inability to concentrate on studies, they may face unfriendly lecturers and mentors who
may fail to individualize each student based on their learning needs. Also, the myth of passing
examinations among students cannot be overemphasized and the relevance of the degree in the
employment market with resulting unemployability pose glaring challenges.
Our approach to mitigating these problems includes delivering the highest quality of education
with a rich mix of modern technology and unconventional teaching methodologies.
In collaboration with students, we seek to know their insight regarding their choice of study, examine their individual capabilities, provide appropriate academic placements, design progress patterns which are objectively verifiable over a time period and together with the student, monitor and evaluate the outputs, outcomes and desired impacts. In essence, we take one student at a time!
