About the Pre-Degree Programme
The Pre-Degree Programme is designed not merely to help students pass examinations and gain admission into 100 Level, but to build their confidence, strengthen their academic foundation, and cultivate the culture of independent learning that is essential for long-term success in higher education and beyond.
The programme provides a comprehensive review of the curriculum from JS1 to SS3, ensuring that students identify and overcome learning gaps while developing the discipline and study habits required for university education.
This programme is hosted by Babanawa Polytechnic, the parent body of Babanawa University.
Who is the programme meant for?
Students with low JAMB scores who need stronger preparation before university admission.

Age Requirement
Candidates should have completed secondary school or be in SS3. Babanawa University expects students to meet the normal university admission age requirement, commonly 16 years and above.
Incomplete O'Level Requirements
Students with deficiencies in one or two O'Level subjects.
Preparing to Rewrite WAEC/NECO/GCE NABTEB
Candidates preparing for another examination sitting while pursuing university admission.
Stronger University Preparation

JS1–SS3 Curriculum Review
Foundational / Probational Phase
The first two months focus on intensive review of the JS1–SS3 curriculum to strengthen basic concepts and address learning deficiencies.
4-Month Core Programme
Intensive Academic Phase
Students proceed to a four-month intensive phase covering the SS1–SS3 curriculum, JAMB preparation, WAEC/NECO preparation, tutorials and continuous assessments.
Final 4–6 Weeks
Transition Phase
The final 4–6 weeks focus on re-sits where necessary, examination readiness and progression into degree studies.
